We transformed an Instagram homage
into a limited-edition shirt.
Can we truly measure the power of social media? I was invited to create an idea to celebrate the anniversary of Socrates' debut with Botafogo SP, a soccer club from Ribeirão Preto.
Socrates was not only a legendary soccer player known for his exceptional talent, but also for his political activism. Throughout his career, he played for two of Brazil's most prominent clubs: Botafogo SP and Corinthians FC.
To honor his legacy, we created a reel featuring his iconic shirt—the very first one he wore while playing for Botafogo. After posting, soccer fans went wild, clamoring for the shirt to be available in Botafogo’s store. In response to the passionate requests from fans of both teams, we sought a special occasion: the 70th anniversary celebration of Socrates.
On this significant date, we organized an official match between both teams, bringing back the famous jersey for the game and the stores. Additionally, we created a giant flag to pay tribute before the match, with the players gathering at the center of the field to recreate Socrates' signature gesture.
